22^nd Annual Vancouver Island Blues Bash | September 3-5

On September 3^rd, 4^th and 5^th, head over to Ship Point Marina—just a short distance from both of our Victoria locations—for the Vancouver Island Blues Bash, an awesome day of live Blues, R&B, and jazz. Returning to the island for a whopping 22^nd time this year, the Blues Bash’s 2016 lineup includes artists like The Nick Moss Band, The David Gogo Band, Groove Kitchen, Blackfish, The Blue Moon Marquee Band, the Deb Rhymer Band, The David Vest Band, The Villanovas, The Midnights, and others. Rifflandia 2016 | September 15-18

Less than two weeks after the Vancouver Island Blues Bash wraps up, a very different, but no less exciting festival will touch down in Victoria: Rifflandia 2016. Emanating from the beautiful Royal Athletic Park on Caledonia Avenue, this festival will feature groups like Jurassic 5, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Prozzak, De La Soul, Band of Skulls, Wolf Parade and many others. Tofino Lantern Festival | August 14

In the week leading up to August 14, head down to the Tofino Botanical Gardens to prepare for one of the city’s most beloved events: The Tofino Lantern Festival. Flex your creative muscles, and build yourself a lantern that suits your personality. Then, on August 14^th, head back to Botanical Gardens to show your creation off to a backdrop of live music, dance, laser shows, and even a fire spinning performance!

Otalith Music Festival | August 19-20

On August 19^th and 20^th, Otalith Music Festival returns to the Tofino area. Nicknamed “The World’s Most Intimate Music Festival,” this event is set inside Vancouver Island’s majestic rainforest, and will feature performances from acts like Shakey Graves, FIDLAR, and People Under the Stairs. Cultural Heritage Festival | August 28-September 4

As it’s name suggests, this one is all about the unique cultural heritage of the West Coast. Led by the Pacific Rim Art Society, the event will use art to explore this incredibly diverse cultural heritage for an event that you don’t want to miss.
